Karme Choling 2006
Kyudo Intensive with Shibata Kanjuro
Sensei

On June 23, 2006 Dayman Perry, along with several other
kyudoka from North America and Europe, traveled to Barnet, Vermont to practice
Heki Ryu Bishu Chikurin ha Kyudo under the guidance of it's current headmaster
and onyumishi, Shibata Kanjuro Sensei XX. The week long intensive took
place at Karme Choling, a Buddhist temple resting quietly among the green
mountains of Vermont. It was a truly an amazing week of physical, mental
and spiritual training, ending with a rare shooting demonstration by Shibata
Sensei, who performed the TENGI - a cleansing of heaven and earth.
